Artist's Comments: "This is a piece that was commissioned. The client had hunted deer in this area for years, but due to health reasons was able to go here less and less frequently. He provided me with all the photo reference for this piece and while he hadn't seen the deer or the wild horses in this exact position at this exact time, he did have this scene fixed in his mind. He is very happy with it and tells me it transports him to the very spot each time he looks at it.
