Artist's Comments: "Here a bull elk calls in the encroaching light of an autumn morning; the air so cold you can see his breath. Frost has begun to turn the grassy field in the clearing yellow and brown. In this painting I tried to convey the feeling of a cold autumn morning that gives way to a warm fall day.
"This piece is oil on canvas and in it you can see a more realistic approach to the subjct while remaining still quite stylistic. The original hangs on my private gallery wall, however, this piece is available in a limited edition giclée print."
