Artist's Comments: "This is a classic piece that I felt compelled to do. A lonesome cowboy at a crossroads. Two tracks, not just train tracks, but the tracks of a disappearing way of life, intersecting with the modern. But the crossing guard is up, he may safely proceed. Will he? You bet he will, he neither knows nor cares to know any other way.
"The technique I used on this piece was one I had wanted to try for a long time and then finally did. Gessoed paper, mounted to board and painted with very thin oil. The train tracks and his spur are metallic silver vinyl and there is sand glued on the lower third of the painting. The original has been sold, but limited edition giclée prints are available ."
